The Cat fans have convinced themselves that they actually won that game, since it was so close.

Probably, not unlike some Griz fans are convinced the Griz are the better team because they almost won on Saturday, except for a few mistakes. I'm not one of them. The Cats were the better team. They won. In Wa-Griz. They played a nearly flawless game. Griz did not. Woulda-coulda-shoulda doesn't count in football. If they play again in a couple weeks in Bozeman, the Griz will have to play a nearly flawless game to come out with the victory. I'll be rooting for that to happen. Until then, onto the next opponent, and hopefully redemption against the Rabbits.
 
Here's another bit of perspective:

The University of Montana football team has NEVER had an undefeated, untied season IN ITS HISTORY.

Think about that. In over 120 years of playing, it's never happened.

The 1995 championship team lost 2 games. The 2001 championship team lost to Hawaii. If eGriz had existed in 1995, there would be hordes here demanding that Papa Bear step down because he lost a step after the loss to Idaho that season.

Let's not let one loss derail what is still possible.

Now that we have that inevitable (historically speaking) loss out of our system, let's win the playoff season!

Can you even imagine Schmidt on the GFP following that Idaho game? He'd be all like, "We just don't recruit the kind of dudes like we did when Rocky Klever played"
