I found an interesting article in Mike Farrell Sports about the Alabama-LSU game last weekend in 'Death Valley.' The parallels to the Davis game in WGS were amazing.
Both night games on national TV, both in a tough venue, loud, enthused fans, both home teams got their ass handed to them, fans streaming to the exits by the start if the fourth quarter. Farrell noted how rare it is for LSU fans to boogie from Death Valley. We know Griz fans at WGS.
What made news in Baton Rouge was the coaches box, high above the pissed off fans WAS EMPTY with two minutes left in the game. They walked out! Empty. Brian Kelly was kinda upset, as he should be.
The Griz problems have been hashed over on this site, ad nauseum. Nuff said. Griz fans walking out, LSU fans walking out. At least the Griz coaches stayed til the bitter end. They did stay, right?
