So the alleged incident happens 10 years ago, and the guy is still allowed on campus, with kids?????

Several news organizations reporting Paterno will be out within the week. They are working on an exit agreement now. Sad end for him, but if he covered this up, there is no excuse for it.

Started to read it. Quit reading pretty quickly. What a sick F*#k. Not sure what punishment is enough for someone like that.

Sandusky needs to be locked up, and the key thrown away.

As for JoPA, It saddens me this went on under his watch. JoPa, Dean Smith, John Wooden, and Coach K (yes Duke's, coach K) are my all time favorite college coaches. Coaches I looked up to wish all coaches could inspire to be.

This is worse than if something like this happened under Robin Selvig's watch with the LG. Our state would be devastated. I cannot imagine this being so much more magnified at Penn State.

If there is a positive on this, I hope it leads to other programs coming clean now, instead of keeping skeletons in their closets. Granted, I cannot see an uglier skeleton than this one. Even the Baylor deal with Dave Bliss (I think that was their coach) looks tame compared to charges involving child molestation.

Sorry this happened, and even more sorry it was with Joe Paterno.

i just can't believe that all of these people who knew what was taking place....not ONE of them including JoPa thought it was smart to go to the police.

that is ridiculous to me. a grad assistant sees a 60 year old man in the shower with a 10 year old. he runs out of the building and calls his dad. neither call the cops. the next day they tell JoPa. he doesn't call the cops. instead he tells the AD. he too decides the cops shouldn't be privy to this information.

to make matters worse, at this time all of these people were already aware that sandusky was being looked at as a person of interest for other allegations.

and even worse than that....this dude was still allowed on campus as of a week ago. :o

i'm sorry, but they need to clean house on this one, and that includes JoPa. just ridiculous that so many people failed these kids. :(

Its a good thing Sandusky never gave a player $10 for gas. Then the hammer really would have come down on him.

Both gone, NOW.

Amazing. What an awful mess. I hope the victims can get some sort of closure through all of this. How terrible.

First and foremost, I feel for the victims; it's sickening what happened to them and many, if not all, of them will have repercussions for the rest of their lives. And I also think that more information with be forthcoming and that just makes me sad. I just heard on ESPN that Paterno has retained a high powered criminal defense attorney; granted he hasn't been charged with anything, but why hire an attorney if he's not worried about implications yet to come?
