Not to pile on, but it is a fact that Pease has long had a reputation for being an arrogant, abrasive a$$hole. This reputation, along with the burned bridges that come with it, has had an impact on his career trajectory. I know a player that was in Brent's position group several years ago that said his constant litany of verbal abuse ruined the game for him. Perhaps he has grown up since then, but at this point I think it's fair to say that these are character traits given that they've been noticed going back to his playing days here.

Additionally, outside of a select season or two, the results of his offenses have been fairly tepid.

Anyone that has seen the video going around of him running over and physically plowing over the QB this spring after he threw the INT have seen first hand he is an asshole. Clearly the QB doesn't expect to be blindsided by a coach after he threw an interception nor should anyone. If Bobby condoned it, he also has serious issues. Actually I am quite surprised the video has not surfaced more widely but likely due to fear of what retaliation would comes to the guy that was at practice shooting cellphone video.

And I will ignore your unsupported view and recommend that everyone ignore it too. My experience with him has always been good. I have been to scores of practices since he came back to UM, and never once saw or heard him did anything even remotely inappropriate. I will also take the word of Griz1 and people who know him.

Did any of you idiots hear what the players said about Pease running the offense?? Fontes and White talked about how excited they were. They talked about explosive plays they drew up and how they were actually going to run them in games, unlike last year. They talked about how there was a major emphasis on spreading the field and using the entire field to help the run game. They talked about the critical part of the screen game game to open up big plays as well as help the run game. They talked about how Pease is going to do everything he can to get our best players on offense the ball (Junior Bergen).

I don’t know who you guys would hire but I’m glad Hauck promoted Brent Pease.

My guess is that the video doesn't exist. People at spring practice don't take videos, and even when someone takes out their phone to look at the roster, someone usually comes over to see what's going on. And, there are usually very few people, like only a few, at the spring practices.

Well you are wrong in this case. Maybe ask one of your so called inside sources/ players if it happened then send me your apology for suggesting that I am lying. Or, I could arrange to get a copy and send it to someone that I trust to confirm its existence (One who doesn't make statements questioning my honesty and already knows I tell only truths on here). I will NOT post on here to protect my sources. Maybe Brint, would agree tp be the go between, he knows I get information and egriz people will trust his word...…then you can make your posted apology and never doubt my honesty again on here for all to see? Or for $500 I would send it to you.

If and that is a big if - Pease did push his QB down then it is a great opportunity for BH to counsel him and get his behavior in line. I suspect what happened is Pease and the QB bumped into each other and the QB fell down. Pease was likely agitated over the interception. Was it abusive behavior by a coach. Doubt it. Lots of manufactured drama.

Guaranteed it would have been flagged as blindside block if the coach was a player on the defense, coming from downfield side (moving to the QB not stationary) and two arms extended (not "run" into) with enough force to have the player knocked off his feet onto his back. I am sure he was agitated but he is a coach, he isn't the tough guy he thinks he is and he is a position of authority, so of course he knew he wouldn't have to back up the cheapshot face to face afterwards. I do not see even Bobby being happy with that behavior......probably will make him row the boat instead of casting next fishing trip. Side note, it was Abbott in case people were wondering which QB. When and if Abbott leaves maybe he will get ahold of a copy from someone and show Griz nation how he was treated by his coach and you can judge for yourself after seeing it

I posted this last year after going to the Weber game (but thought it was Rosey, not Pease, was corrected)....Pease was absolutely berating Grossman on the sidelines at one point around the 2nd or 3rd quarter. We were about halfway up in the stands, and it was very obvious every other word out of his mouth was fuck. Green eventually came over and told Pease to calm down, then they had a convo and apparently it was Pease who was mistaken on whatever he was yelling at Grossman for. In his defense, he did apologize...but with that said, I wasn't over impressed with him that day. I think he's going to be awesome in the booth calling plays, which is where he belongs and where he will most benefit the Griz. Obviously most players already see it if they're talking about it, so I'm excited.

Putting aside the alleged abuse for a moment I still remain confused about a few things concerning Pease. He has been on staff since BH returned. So where were all the new explosive plays, spreading the field, screen game etc in the last five years? Has he just been a goodsoldier doing exactly what Rosie and BH told him to do waiting for his opportunity but taking absolutly no initiative on his own to promote his ideas? That doesn't seem good. Or does the BH culture demand that potential ideas for change are not allowed and those provideing unwanted advice and innovation won't be around long? Doesn't seem like that is a real good recipe for success either. I guess we shall find out more next season but something just doesn't smell right to me.
