Not to pile on, but it is a fact that Pease has long had a reputation for being an arrogant, abrasive a$$hole. This reputation, along with the burned bridges that come with it, has had an impact on his career trajectory. I know a player that was in Brent's position group several years ago that said his constant litany of verbal abuse ruined the game for him. Perhaps he has grown up since then, but at this point I think it's fair to say that these are character traits given that they've been noticed going back to his playing days here.
