Caleb Lyons.....why won't anyone give him a scholly? :thumb:

Im on that bandwagon also, and was before the "scholarship" thread. If he can stay healthy he will be a great player for the Griz!!

After reading this thread I am so high I can't come back down. We beat North Dakota easy!

OK.... not easy but we beat them...

Lurch is your breakout this year!!! :coffee:
If he is, you guys are in serious trouble.

He will be an interesting QB to watch in light of all the new things your offense will be wrestling with. He sure does not seem to be the prototypical QB for a Stitt offense, but hey, Stitt knows Stitt and with that we must rest and see how it unfolds!

How many people heard of the names of many Griz players, in their hometowns, yes, but BEFORE their fame in Missoula? I'll just name five off the top of my head: Dave Dickenson, Lex Hilliard, Tim Hauck, Tuff Harris, and Colt Anderson(all Montanans, by the way). I KNOW there are many, many more. Just a matter of time till the new All-Griz mentionables make their mark on WGS and the Griz faithful.

Marc Mariani

I think Gus will be the 2. CC will be the 1. I can't believe that a drop down QB that played pretty well won't learn the offense over the next 4 months and come out as the 1. That being said, Logwood, McKinney and Gus will be breakout players lol

I witnessed Tuff have one of the best dunks I've ever seen when Colstrip played Glendive back in the day....also witnessed him double false start and get disqualified from the 200 meter championship at state track hahaha.

The list is long. Others have added names. I just listed the first five which came to mind. I watched Tuff in WGS, like many others, and can see he earned his name. Woof!

I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised with Josh Horner out of Great Falls...

He was outstanding in HS. There should be no reason why he won't shine for the Griz too.

By the way, he commented that he likes that he gets to split-out now in the new offennse, instead of being an in-line TE in the old Griz offense.

Among the youngsters holding down the fort in the veterans' absence, freshman Manu Rasmussen has impressed at free safety. Rasmussen redshirted a year ago and has been tossed right into the fire with the first team defense this spring.

Not that he's complaining.

"It's the only way you'll get better, right?" Rasmussen said before Wednesday's practice. "Can't get better going against someone you're better than."

And Semore likes where Rasmussen is heading.

"Manu, he's a special talent. I've been a lot of places and he can play just about everywhere I've been," said Semore, who has also coached at Oklahoma State and Tulsa, while sporting a pair of OSU sweatpants Wednesday. "He stands out in my mind as a guy that's gonna be a great player for a long time."

I agree, coach.
