Lol @ brints post. Regardless of how stupid the op is, he has a point. Our arrogance is kinda overwhelming and embarrassing. We are the big dogs of the FCS. Yes NDSU is winning right now but we are the face of the FCS. No one can deny that fact given our tradition. However the amount of disrespect towards other teams is just out of control. Montana and App state fans have a great relationship due to the amount of respect we have for each other and while no other team besides NDSU may deserve that amount of respect we should at least try to give some. It makes us look arrogant and it puts a bad taste in other peoples mouth when it comes to Montana. I want everywhere to love the Montana culture, tradition, and team. And right now we're making more enemies than friends. I'm proud to be a griz but I am not going to go disrespecting every program in the nation because they're not us.

While I think you might have a point in the hypothetical, I'm not sure what "disrespect" has been hurled at CCU. Most of the football-related posts I've seen give them the respect they are due. The attendance situation is irrefutable and, I'm sure, recognized by their fan base.

We'll talk after the game... the 4-5 score differentials on the predictions or the questions of "whether they'll give us a game or not" are disrespectful to me. I fully anticipate for us to win by <2 scores. We'll talk then

I don't have a problem with all of this so called "annoying" banter by Griz fans. Griz fans had a difficult time in 2012. So if they want to "cut loose" a little during the playoffs this year, let them. Soon enough, Griz fans will find out just how good their team really is or isn't.There won't be any more arguing about game attendance, cold weather or how many good teams the Griz played and beat in 2013. Personally, I've seen the Griz program evolve since Dornblaser days and I'll damn well cheer for what we have built and maintained for decades. Even if the Griz lose to CCU I'll still be proud that 26k came out to support the program every day. I wouldn't expect NDSU to restrain their pride either. These programs, like App, are more than just a winning record. If all you have is a winning record, well, that would just be EWU.

What is annoying is:

the lack of appreciation for and understanding of:

what UM has built in football in the last several decades and what it has achieved,

the fantastic stadium attendance and atmosphere for a school at the FCS level, and

the nice season UM has had this fall;

the negativism of some "fans"; and

the large number of ill-informed and unappreciative bandwagon fans. This category also includes some of the fans that are arrogant and put down other teams.

I have been one of the most negative fans in regard to some of the coaching(which I admit I still am not 100% happy), but as for the overall Griz experience, we have something special. PR is right on, we have something pretty amazing-among FCS teams and thus comes arrogance among a few fans. I include myself, but I will take that any day over what just about 100% of what other FCS schools have going for them.
