Our Stitt Smells Better Than Your Ash

MSU fans want Stitt to be like an ash so badly, however, he simply is not. Big schools have offered to have him come be their Offensive coordinator. Ash? Not so much. Big schools and pro coaches rave about Stitts innovation and use his ideas in their schemes. Ash, not so much. Fact is, in Stitt, the Griz have a coach who is precedent setting and has vision. He runs his offense as the head coach. Think Mike Mckarthy and Chip Kelley. Not saying Stitt is on the same level as those guys, but who is to say he wont be. Fact is, MSU fans want their fantasies of Stitt failing at the Griz to come to fruition, however, they will likely be disappointed. To turn a program around, such as the school of mines, that had previously been abysmal is no easy task (think Bobby Hauck @ UNLV). I suppose we will just have to wait and see, however, I have a hunch that Big Sky conference coaches will be wishing Stitt leaves sooner than later in no time!!!!! GO GRIZ!!!! FTC!!!

Ha! Chip Kelley? Mike McCarthy? This is a joke right? I mean, IF he was THAT good, don't ya think he'd be coaching at somewhere like, uh... I don't know... Just about anywhere better than CSM by now or UM for that matter? Yeah, huh, I'd say so. But thanks for the laughs.

Just 8 years ago Chip Kelly was OC at New Hampshire.

No, its not your point. The point you were trying to make was presumptuous and ill-informed. You want to compare ash to stitt, while at the same time ignoring those facts that don't support your thesis, that he is just like Ash. You presume that he couldn't possibly be as great an offensive mind as MANY very qualified coaches claim him to be because he remained at a DII program for 15 years that saw its most successful years ever under his direction, even when he'd been offered jobs as offensive coordinator at DI-A programs. Il take the word of those qualified coaches over someone on a message board every time. A google news search of stitt will provide all the difference in the world between he and Ash.

Did you forget Ash was the president of the Coach's association? So yeah, he came with glowing reviews as well.

Either way it doesn't matter. We'll see 4 years from now how he pans out. If he sucks, well MSU might just keep Ash. If he sets the world on fire, MSU might be motivated to make a change. So in the words of Bob Green, "it's like watching your mother-in-law drive your car off a cliff... You've got mixed feelings."
