Osweiler to the Broncos

Congrats to Brock. I dug the Griz shirt right behind him when they showed him on tv.

I also enjoyed the griz shirt in the background, I noticed when he got drafted they booted that kid out of the picture hahaha

Good for Osweiler but that had to be the dumbest pick in the entire draft. The Broncos need to focus on winning NOW. Osweiler might help them in 5 years (Peyton Manning has stated that he will play 5 more years) but he won't help them next season. They should have drafted a player that would have helped them win games next season IMO. You guys are right though it will be nice for em to learn behind the best.

First thing they're going to have to work on is that release point. Russell Wilson at 5-10 has a better shot of getting the ball over the D-line than the 6-7 Osweiler. Other than that, loved Brock's session with Jon Gruden on the FFCA. He's got star-power.

Also liked the point Gruden brought up in his added vulnerability in telegraphing his passes. I think he's going into the absolute best opportunity a 21 year old developing QB can ask to be in. He seems like the type of kid who won't be afraid of demanding mentoring from Manning and Elway either. He's got the right personality/charisma and attitude to get that mentoring without making himself out as a threat or a nuicance that many other rookie QBs make themselves into when joining at team wiht a veteran QB. Anyways, good to see yet another good Montana kid in the league representing our state.

And if Peyton doesn't play like he used to....?

Huh? You sayin' Manning plays 5 more years - but Osweiler won't help them next year?... First off, you can expect Denver to carry three QB's this season, possibly Adam Weber, a 2011 holdover from Minnesota or maybe an experienced journeyman in the three months before fall camp. I've seen quite a bit of Osweiler and I believe he could become effective a lot earlier than some might think. One of the NFL pundits said that in addition to having a big accurate arm and good mobility he also has an excellent knowledge of the position. Elevating his throwing from sidearm to classic over the top and helping him to read the faster pro game are things he'll pickup. And there's no better tandem than Manning and Elway to get a young QB there in the shortest time.

Well, than they are screwed reguardless if they have Brock or not. They kind of bet the farm on Peyton working out.

A team can only play one quarterback at a time. Manning never left the field when he was at Indy. How does signing another quarterback help the Broncos win NEXT YEAR? If they are going to win a Super Bowl it is going to be with Peyton Manning next season not a rookie quarterback. Kind of a wasted pick if you look at it that way I'm just saying.

Manning is good, but he is also known for not letting other QBs take snaps. He's probably one of the worst QBs for Brock to "learn" behind. He won't learn shit if he doesn't get to take any snaps outside of pre season. Now if he was to learn behind Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, or Tom Brady, thats a different story.

The donkey or ass, Equus africanus asinus, is a domesticated member of the Equidae or horse family.

The Denver Donkeys.

...and the charmed one is a member of the species homo sapiens, but no one refers to him as a homo...hopefully. (Only a naive rustic would refer to the Broncos as anything else.)
