Oregon Thread

Time for our guys to Man-up. Tired of getting blown out by the big boys. Let’s make a statement to the Big Sky amd have a competitive 2nd half

Yep!! Maybe if we can’t watch,,,, they will?? Life is weird sometimes. Lol. Usually that is how it works…

First thing I notice is in addition to some size, the Griz have some depth this year. Lots of guys rotating in.

FYI, the game is scheduled to replay at 2 AM.
I'm recording that too, in hopes of being to watch the full game.
Sounds like the GRIZ played well in the 1st half, even without hitting from 3 efficiently.
Henderson played and scored in the 1st half. So, no redshirt year for him.
I wonder, is Vasquez's injury going to be a nagging one?

Ok. So Oregon has a cool tradition. Because Animal House was filmed here, at the 3rd quarter break of football or in this case the 8:21 mark, they do the "Otis Day band toga song" kinda like we do Cotton EyeJoe.

But Griz struggling to score down the stretch.

Is Vasquez hurt?

He is. Not sure specifically what.
Leg, ankle, foot, or knee injury though.
He's walking, but with a slight limp.
He was supposed to be ready to go to start the regular season.

My thoughts from just listening. Sounds like Griz really battled. More depth than last year. Hopefully that translates to more of a 10 man rotation come conference rather than 8. Oregon didn’t really pull away until the last 7/8 minutes. Great that youth played down the stretch, but also made some youth mistakes as well. Oregon probably pulls away ealrlier if they make more than half their free-throws as Montana had double the fouls called in them than Oregon. Overall a solid showing. I’m excited to see what they do the rest of the year. Go Griz!

Also - super cool that Connor Dick got in the last few moments before halftime and had an impactful block that allowed the Griz to tie the game right before half.

Also feels like TDC and his staff have their mojo back a little. I think the covid virtual recruiting was tough for them - they seem to do much bettter if they can see the recruit in person and really get a feel for them.

Hoping this will translate to good things for the upcoming season!
