We drove over in Sept. '96 from Billings through SE Wash and then into NE Oregon and onto Corvallis--took us a day and a half, as we stayed in The Tri Cities .

The Beaver Believers--deliberate pause to make up your own joke--their version of the GSA, thought they were going to kick our a$$, even though Don Read's GRIZ beat them just a few years before this game in, I believe it was 1990, pre- DD, and I want to say Grady Bennett was our QB

By the end of game, Da GRIZ win easily, something like 36-14 behind GRIZ QB Brian Ah Yat and a stingy 4-3-4 D, no 3-3-5, most of the Beaver Believers looked sick to their stomachs, realizing '96 was going to be another long, tough year : ( !!! T

I don’t understand the overconfidence in a Griz win. Completely new defense. That could take a game or two to dial in. I hope the Griz stomp them. Just think it will be a much closer game than many are expecting.

Well technically we got 3 games to figure it out lol. I think it’s a 50-50 game. OSU was downright awful last year, and like UM has a lot of question marks coming into the season. New coaching staff, new look PAC12, etc. plus not to mention their first two games of the year are against Houston and Texas Tech, ouch.

I'm not suggesting anything about beating OSU will be easy...just continuing to say I won't be surprised if/when the Griz do it.

My Sister and I were in the stands the night the Griz beat Oregon State, 22-15,1990 season.

A woman in front of us was decked out in Griz gear. We asked her connection.

I always like our chances vs. a I-A, FBS team when we have 2-3 games under our belt before we play them to knock the off-season rust off the team and specific to 2026, iron some of the wrinkles out of our new 4-3-4/4-2-5 defense : ) !!!
