As for the basketball team, I just hope we get some dramatic offseason improvements in the offseason. I hope Tinkle not only is expecting it,but demanding it from everyone.

i agree with both of you. i've wanted to move up for years but it's a generational thing. among the old alums, the humbling experience of being a doormat in the old the pacific coast and skyline conferences remains burned in the psyche. we still have never defeated wyoming in football, and our records against the teams from those big conferences looks like today's lady griz records against big sky foes. in football montana has gone from battered to bully, and none of the old guys wants to risk going back to the old days.

but the sentiment is swinging in favor of moving up, and i'm sure that's driven by the younger fans. it will happen eventually, in some form.
