First, we will see what happens next season. Second, don't hold your breath waiting for BH to be the savior.
True, but I am sure there are proven FCS winning coaches that would love to be the head coach here.

I would love to see some examples? I will wait to see your list.

We had them as potentials when Stitt was selected. Don't remember the list??

There was a long list of proven FCS winning coaches?

Didn't say there was a long list but here are a few: Brentt Pease, Kraig Paulson, Bobby Hauck, and a couple from back east - can't remember their names but i will get them for you...

And exactly one of those is a proven FCS winning coach.

I swear Helena you must be getting a commission from um. Any reasonable dig against the athletic department or Stitt and you are spinning it like a stinking politician. You do realize we suck as a football team right now! Right?

Wasn't the rumor that the Washington's wanted Hauck hired and were not happy with Stitt being hired? Maybe they will divert some money from their donation to build the Champion's Center (like leaving 10 letters off the building) to pay for a contract buyout.

I have felt like the Griz are nothing more than average for several seasons. But people around here are jumping from ledges. I am less than sold on Stitt, but I still believe he gets to show me something next season. As for proven, winning FCS coaches, I don't see many of those knocking down UM's door, especially for the measly paycheck and crazy expectations.

Pretty much what I expected to see today. As from my previous posts I have accepted that Stitt is a 7-4 or 6-5 coach. He runs a clean program that looks for high academic achievers and that certainly sits well with the Engstrom regime. It is what it is and it isn't going to get any better. If you don't like it you better get loud and proud. He can't coach a lick and his assistants, especially the DC and STC are incompetent. From an offensive perspective it is even worse and I don't see him hiring an OC that might disagree with the disaster that he has put in place (lots of yards, few points in tough games)

Changes will not be viewed by Engstrom as positive. If 30 of the E-Griz posters want to put up 10K next year to buy out his contract then that would be great. Personally I can't afford that. So we may be looking forward to a very possible loss to the Cats next week and a dismal 6-5 season next year. Not a lot of good choices or optimism for the future here - no proven or highly regarded QB coming in and many questions regarding both offense and defense. Depressing but that is the way it is.

I'm 66 years old and would like another NC before I die. That isn't going to happen with Stitt.

I want to win as bad as anybody. I miss the Griz the way they were. But to see your statement that I bolded as a negative is absurd. That should absolutely be a major part of the mission statement for this program.
