One 14 vs 3 upset already today

Hope Griz can continue this trend.
 
I picked that upset in my brackets. Also just could not pick against the GRIZ, I picked them in both brackets I am in. One bracket I picked Washington over Marquette. The other bracket, I chose Marquette. It all depends on which Husky team shows up. I feel we can beat them. If we face Marquette though, I do not feel good about that matchup.

Lets get NM fist though!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normally, I do one. I am in 2 contests this year. One was last minute. A few games I could not remember who I picked, one of those games was Marquette/UW. Final 4 for me is Syracuse, Kansas, Duke, and Kentucky. Despite injuries, I went with my gut feeling and have Syracuse winning it all.

I just do not see any Cinderellas dancing after the sweet 16 this year. UTEP and Gonzaga were the only below 4 seed teams I was tempted to ride out to Elite 8. As much as I cannot stand a few Zag posters, I always find myself pulling for them. I am also pulling for St Marys right now.
 
I got the same bracket for all the pools I'm in. I am really kicking myself for not picking Murray State and ODU. Went back and forth on those games and picked wrong both times dammit. The Murray State game basically came down to me saying I've already picked too many upsets (Griz, UTEP, Siena) and didn't want to kill myself by picking too many underdogs.

I have Marquette beating Washington (and then beating the Griz), but I'm definitely rooting for Washington, in case the Griz pull off the huge upset.

Siena better come through for me later against Purdue or my first round is going to look like complete shit. St. Mary's is handling Richmond right now at least (thank god). Baylor struggling big time against SHS doesn't make me too confident about my pick for them to go to the final 4 :P It seemed like they were completely disinterested in the game the first half and part of the 2nd half...tons of turnovers by them (especially in the first half). Maybe they were looking past SHS...hope New Mexico looks past the Griz!

I'm really glad to see Nova didn't look too great. I have them losing to Baylor in the third round.

Was there an Egriz group on ESPN? If not, we should definitely do that next year :)
 
Wow...14 seed Ohio is up on Georgetown by 12 with about a minute to go. They were up by 12 at half time, and I think were up by as many as 17 in the 2nd half. What a let down for Georgetown... I figured they'd at least make it to the sweet 16... They beat syracuse and marquette in their tournament.

Just checked again... 14 seed Ohio beats 3 seed Georgetown 97-83. :shock:

I had them beating 2 seed Ohio State and going to the elite 8 :( Much like Baylor earlier today they had a ton of turnovers in the first half... I thought they might catch up and win when they pulled within 7 with about 5 minutes to go..but nope.. Ohio hung on!
