Are you being sarcastic? Your post actually had really good insights that I hadn’t thought of.No. It’s a terrible post. Don’t ruin my reputation.
No one said he is concerned. But Eddie George advised him to avoid the wear and tear of FBS. Do you know who Eddie George is?
Yes.Are you being sarcastic? Your post actually had really good insights that I hadn’t thought of.
Montana pays more.So he’ll turn down $750K from an FBS if Montana pays him $100K? Interesting.
Eddie George. If Gillman wants to maximize his NFL career he should stay right here at Montana. There are plenty of FCS running backs that do get drafted. Isaiah Davis from SDSU and 5th round pick by the Jets is an example of one who has a similar skillset to Gillman. Staying at Montana as our feature running back is going to give him more game experience and film than having to be part of a running back committee in FBS. Gillman is also going to get a lot more experience and film in pass protection next year with how much Ah Yat advanced this year and will continue to advance next year.
It might be Granddad's defense but it's better than the 3-3-5, especially when you can't defend the pass.No. Running granddads defense is not the answer. 4-2-5.
Think other teams’ completion percentage was low too.It might be Granddad's defense but it's better than the 3-3-5, especially when you can't defend the pass.
Yeah yeah, I know the lame claim "but, but" we had so many interceptions" yeah and far more big plays against the Defense that eventually cost them the BSC title and a trip to the NC.
I am glad you recognize it as grandads defense though. It has proven effective for decades.
Yep, Lampson was only 18-for-20. Horrible.Think other teams’ completion percentage was low too.
Almost anything is better than the 3-3-5. If your takeaway was that I was somehow defending or promoting the 3-3-5 in any way, you misunderstood. My point was that there are better options than the 4-3, which was effective for decades against offenses run in those decades…which generally aren’t run much anymore. It might be Granddad's defense but it's better than the 3-3-5, especially when you can't defend the pass.

Agreed. I was just throwing ideas out.Almost anything is better than the 3-3-5. If your takeaway was that I was somehow defending or promoting the 3-3-5 in any way, you misunderstood. One down... One to go.We’re not losing Gillman or Ah Yat.
