How does the C.A.T. LB’er make it for Fullback? That makes no sense. Has he ever played the position? Will he this year? I’m not saying he can’t or would suck; he probably would be awesome at it. But that doesn’t mean you give him the nod just for the hell of it. In fact, why stop there? If they’re just guessing, why not give him the nod at all positions. I’m sure he’d be great at them all.
I doubt he ever took a snap as an actual FB. He may get RB snaps but I doubt he gets any FB snaps. Or is that what they are calling their short yardage package when he is the lone back? My guess is he might get a handful of actual FB snaps where he is blocking for the RB. I doubt that will happen at all, but I guess I could see it a few times—certainly not enough to garner this award. And basically take it from someone who actually plays the position
