"Old School" vs "New School" Colors

Maroon or Black "Griz" on a golden (metallic) helmet (like Notre Dame)?

Although I would LOVE that on a metallic Silver helmet--I know we had something like that the past season but with the metallic silver more pronounced.

I like the copper of that UA helmet in the start of the thread. That helmet would look sick with a silver Griz script on the side of it maybe outlined in a very thin gold. White road uni's with copper numbers outlined with silver and gold. Silver home uni's ( much like the ones the WSU Cougars wore this year) with copper numbers (same color as helmet) and outlined in gold.

Kinda a problem, I hear MSU is re-branding their logo, it'd seem like we were following their lead..
 
For someone with photoshopping skills, would it be possible to do a solid gold helmet with the Griz logo in solid silver? I'm thinking colors that are reflective like mirrors. That would be pretty cool looking. Maybe even outlining the Griz logo with a white or black stroke.

I like it, a combo between notre dame and oregon there...that would look awesome.

the coolest helmets the Griz have ever worn.... two years ago in Bozo...those things were fucking awesome.

I like the copper color. It would be cool to see what it would look like as a reflective color. A logo that would look cool on that color of helmet would be just the outline of the paw in reflective silver.
 
i had this ballin idea for griz alternate helmets for a while now and im hopin one of you photoshop playas can post it up here on egriz.

i wanna see a mat black helmet with a big shiny metalic green pot leaf on both sides. and inside the pot leafs is a copper grizzly bear with some phat teradactile wings and hes givin the midle finger and maybe throwin dice. how fucken sick would that be!???

Maroon and Silver outsells the old Orange and Gold by a huge amount according to the Bookstore. Sales jumped and steadily increased when we switched (winning the championship I'm sure helped). We have a unique mascot and I wonder how many people passing though or visiting the state may buy Giz gear for that reason. I saw a couple this summer back here in Michigan sporting some Griz gear. I asked them what their connection was. They said none, they were visiting Glacier Park and wanted something with a Grizzly on it.

Having Monte look like a skinny Yogi I think helps influence sales to kids. For instance Michigan State's Sparty is a scowling mean looking Spartan. I've seen kids run from Sparty. Kids run to Monte.

Must schools have a simple 2 colors and there's not much variation. Montana is unique we have three colors first of all and no one can settle on how any one of those three colors should be presented. Imagine haveing just two colors like green and white. What can you do with that? There's only one white and one green. I know there are shades of each but there's no argument what the final product will be. You can show 14 versions and ask anyone what it is and they'll say Green and White.

Sliver Copper and Gold is a Crayola 48 box. We should use all the colors Maroon, Silver, Gold, Orange, Copper, Yellow, Black, Gray, throw in some pink on a cancer ribbon somewhere and then get Crayola to sponsor us.


At least it's not Blue and Gold.
