Sorry for not getting this together guys. I was in Whitefish the last three days and it kept me from being able to get this together. I'm still tight on time as I've got a few other things to take care of today as well still so I'll just put some quick info up.
Record: 1-2
0-75 loss to Lamar: Lamar is an FCS team, I think they're in the Southland with McNeese and Central Arkansas. Lamar ran for 300, passed for 300 and held OKPSU to just 130 rushing yards and 50 passing yards.
35-13 win vs Sterling: OKPSU ran for 232 and passed for 222. They shut down Sterling in the passing game allowing just 57 passing yards.
10-26 loss to Adams State: Adams State ran for just about 200 yards in the win, OKPSU was pretty balanced in their game, 181 passing / 181 rushing.
Players to watch: Tough to pull b/c their "statistics" link on their site goes to last year's results.
#5 - Justin Fogle, a 6-1 running back, possibly more of a goal-line guy. He had 2 TDs in the Sterling win
#13 - Chris McLendon, a bigger 235 pound running back, he's their rushing leader, also has caught a few passes, one for 60 yards.
#12 - Caleb Holbrook, the starting QB, he'll run the ball as well, has some marginally good rushing stats. I believe he's thrown 3 picks in 3 games.
Not having quick access to their general stats I'm not able to put that up. I'll see if I can update this post again later tonight with more info.
Keys for a Griz win appear to be fairly basic, OKPSU is grossly over-matched, the Griz need to just do their thing and execute when needed and this game should wrap up quickly. I hope there's no injury issues that come out of this game and that the Griz can get a lot of experience for the depth. I'm thinking the Griz will probably get back to more power-running to continue to improve in the trenches with this newer style on offense.
