My parents were season ticket holders in the NEZ since the day it was built. Well into their late 80s they would drive over from Spokane for every home game. I believe they missed 3 or 4 over the years for international travel or the wedding of a grandchild.

I will never forget meeting them after the 2009 App State game for a late dinner and drinks, talking about the game, how great we felt, and how cold it had been. One of the greatest memories of my life, particularly now that they’re gone. Cherish those moments with family.


Oh, and for what it’s worth, I know Bob and Joanne are very, very happy today, and damn proud of their former NEZ brethren.

Awesome. I hope you told them all along how you had criticized the teams and the coaches, and thought the players weren't good enough.

I hope your kids had an amazing day, and loved the experience at WaGriz. Would you like them to see all the shit you talked before the game?

I attended that game, it's still among my favorite life memories! Obviously I didn't know your parents, but not doubt Bob and Joanne are singing the praises of the latest great Griz punt returner! Here's to them, and all Griz fans!
