Oh oh Graves E. Washington

They need to do a better job on their 3pt shooters as talented as our guards may be we give up a lot of points on bad close outs and getting lost on D, can't score 15 and give up 20 thats why we loose!!!!! Doesnt anyone see that?????

UM freshman can be sooo good and then collapse into mass confusion. This game is really giving them opportunities to score but they just aren't consistent. Bannon has really improved since the first game and that is promising.

Happy that the Griz hung in there, but they still looked like a team of young players.... EWU looked like the best team in the conference... be interesting to see if the Griz can bounce back Saturday with a better effort. They matched EWU in the 2nd half but let things get too out of hand in the 1st...

Griz lose by 14. Egun, Beasley, and Bannan all played very well. Egun hit a couple triples, got to the line at will, and threw down a slam over the Eastern big man. Need more Egun

Honestly that game might be a net positive quite a few guys got to just get out and run and go for it without worrying about grinding out the whole shot clock every possession. Got to see Griz play with some speed and rhythm at times, and Anderson allowed to just be the guy as well as Bannon letting lose a bit an not worrying about his place in the shooting pecking order. HOWEVER more of the same in that this team continues to Flash, but not sustain and is only consistent in frequently getting the equivalent of drive killing holding calls or false starts to use a football analogy.

I think (hope) the Griz will play better Saturday. Will it be enough? I'm doubtful. Griz just don't seem to have the horses ... no reflection on their athletic ability or basketball skills, just lack of experience. I'm afraid the Griz get a win only if EWU has a major letdown.

Rough first half for the Griz. What has become a trademark of Travis’s teams is they don’t quit. Being down 27 and losing by 13 or 14 means we probably won the final 30 minutes. No question EWU has more firepower and will be the team to beat in the conference but I guarantee no other team will want to play us in the tournament. I’m not at all embarrassed by our performance tonight. Kudos to Brannon, Beasley and Evans for an excellent performance.

That was quite a slam by Egun. Wasn't expecting that to happen when he started for the paint. Nor, I expect, did Grove. Who is, what, about 6 inches taller than Egun?

I tend to have a different viewpoint then all of you. I actually didn’t think our defense in the first half was all that bad. I think Eastern came out with a pure adrenaline rush after dropping the last 4 to us and caught lightning in a bottle. Some of the shots they were hitting were very Tyler Hall-esque and there’s nothing you can really do about it when a team is feeling it like that. That said, I was impressed to watch us scrap our way back into it down 27 to only lose by 13. It was just an insurmountable hole to climb out of. In the second half, we really just traded punches with them, it was just unfortunate how hot they were in the first 15 minutes of the game.
