Official Yeah, But . . . Thread

Yeah, but if the Jackie kicker wouldn't have missed that FG, we would have lost. Combine that with JLM not returning that punt for a TD, and we're talking blowout loss for sure.

But that ain't how it all turned out. The football bounces a lot of crazy ways. Tonight it bounced UM's way. Let's just be happy about that.

Quality or not....this win is HUGE! F NAU. So glad we beat them. I don't care if the Griz beats a shitty boy scout troop...just as long as a W is registered....life is good. The NCAA will give the Griz a 1st round playoff game in WA-Griz...the $ is too goid...as long as we finish the final 2 games

Also, found out that carrying my daughter around during the game brings luck. I have no analogy to go with that. I’m sorry for not figuring that out earlier...

Was that you in the South End Zone with the big purple carrier?

I wish! No, just here in Portland pacing my house and trying not to swear too much in front of my 10 week old.

And if the Griz would have punched that in instead of fumbling......ifs buts candy nuts goes both ways.

Yeah, but our 4th string QB was actually a 3rd string QB once, so it's not like it was that much of a disadvantage having him run the offense.

Yeah, but if Hill and Simis would've both been ejected for targeting instead of Cooknuggs, this would've been a whole different game.

Yeah, but Josh Buss dropped an easy interception that could've sealed the win much earlier. Tim Hauck would have intercepted it and taken it to the house, and Bobby would have cheered.

Yeah, but ... if the weather socked in every airport from Spokane to Bozeman, and south to Boise and IF, NAU would have been stranded in Salt Lake and forced to forfeit the game. :?

Yeah, but we had to make numerous in-game adjustments on defense, and we should have been prepared for every possible scenario, including the ejection of Cookus. I mean, the defense had a full week to prepare for that possibility and all they were able to do was notch 7 sacks and hold them to 15 points. Talk about embarrassing.

YOU GOTTA STICK WITH WHAT WORKS... I'll expect that you do that for the next 20 years, if not the lost games are YOUR fault.

Now it seems like people are just talking about things that didn't actually happen.
Well, sure. I kinda thought that was the point.

If the 2-point conversion pass goes to the open receiver, the game goes into OT. With a short field, Simis scores a TD, defense makes a stop and the Griz win by 7 rather than by a measly 2. Not that I'm complaining ... 1 point is always enough.

In a few years I see that as becoming difficult. Kids get heavy and I’m not the young buck I once was... that sucked to say. I assume that someone else with a newborn will pick up the slack. :thumb:

My daughter is 21 now. I'm not as sure carrying her around is as effective as it once was.

Yeah. They get all opinionated about things at that age.

Man, I've been there on the carrying superstition. It's been off the table for two seasons now. Girls 5 and 3 here. Don't know if it's your first, but enjoy it nonetheless. :thumb:
