Also, found out that carrying my daughter around during the game brings luck. I have no analogy to go with that. I’m sorry for not figuring that out earlier...

YOU GOTTA STICK WITH WHAT WORKS... I'll expect that you do that for the next 20 years, if not the lost games are YOUR fault.

In a few years I see that as becoming difficult. Kids get heavy and I’m not the young buck I once was... that sucked to say. I assume that someone else with a newborn will pick up the slack. :thumb:

Will do! This is kid number one and a girl to boot. I live on a street full of boys. I’m currently constructing a blind so I can pick those little f&$!ers off if they get near my girl. Which reminds me. I need to go shotgun shopping.

But somehow won with half empty stadium to start the 3rd quarter (I assume :lol: )

We won with a half empty stadium through the entire game.

The stadium was fairly full, except gaps in the between-the-35 seats and student SEZ section. Boxes were jam packed, as was the stadium club. 20,466 official attendance.

Crowd was fairly loud early, and then softened when UM wasn't doing much on O and were behind. Crowd picked up when Griz got a TD and Cookus went off the field acting like a huge spoiled jerk. 60 or more yards of jabbing his hand at the crowd. Couldn't see if the bird was there or not. Guy escorting him out had to push him in the back a few times. Kept it up as he went up the tunnel. Stopped at about 15 steps in the tunnel, above the medical cart, turned around, and jabbed arm/hand in the air more.

Yeah, but their starting QB got himself ejected for targeting (and acted like king douche leaving the stadium).

Too bad the win won't count as much with Cookus ejected. Might even show up as a loss in the official record.

Hurt us big time cheating and getting Cookus kicked out, however Stitt was smart enough to immediately install a position player at QB and neutralize that. Now the win counts.

Not every distant fan is going to drive through a Winter Storm Advisory/Warning to get to the game. So far, I've heard of several die-hard fans, season-ticket holders who were forced to turn back by the weather. (And at least one who was on the verge of turning back.) For all the passion we pour into our fandom, it is still "just a game." Applaud the ones who did drive through and make it, but don't dump on the ones who decided it was simply too much of a risk.

That wasn't for the people who live far away. Missoula is a town of 70-ish thousand, with a few other localities scattered around in the surrounding valleys. And the student section being half-empty was really disappointing. It shouldn't have been visibly half empty.

I will say I can't understand why our student section isn't always overflowing at every game. When I was screaming as a student in that section in the late 80's, it was a foregone conclusion that me and all my buddies would just...flat...be there to cheer the Griz on. Win or lose, go Griz. :!:

Nah, do it every day, by when she is 21 you'll look like a greek god & able to start for the griz your forties. 

And hang onto that carrier! They can be repurposed as a handy beer tote. :thumb:

Yeah, but......what about last year. Cookus didn't play and their backup still destroyed our D. This year was just different.
