MBBALL OFFICIAL SPUD GAME Thread

Well, it wasn't pretty, but it's still a W, badly needed after the Pocatello melt down !!! Whitney picked a great night to become a scoring machine !!!

Nice bounce back win! The scoring droughts are frustrating for sure and I think tonight they got too comfortable with a 16 point lead and started bleeding clock then were having to rush shots at the end of the shot clock. We were good when we were playing up tempo and working the ball. Idaho couldn’t defend that. When Money is running the offense and distributing the ball, that’s when this team is really good. That’s the type of ball it takes to beat UNC and win the league. Now can they do that for 40 minutes? Remains to be seen but I was encouraged by that. Also liked how good we shot the ball tonight.

Make no mistake, Idaho is a top half of the league team. They will not be playing on the first day of the conference tournament this year. Alex Pribble’s doing a good job at Idaho. The UNC-Idaho game on Thursday night will be must see tv if both teams bring their 3 point shooting. Pulling for the Vandys in that one!

Okay. You’re a Money fan. Stop.average player at best.
U r so wrong about Money.
This game, he made his teammates better. He had a pass 1st mentality.
He created so many open shots for teammates.

Defensively he was consistently contesting shots and great help defense.

He got burned on 1 backdoor pass. He made 1 very questionable turnover. His FTs weren't good. Rest of this game he played well.

He's going to prove you wrong.

He missed 3 free throws down the stretch and had a horrid in bounds turnover. This is not the first game I wished he was on the bench for crunch time.
Wasn’t just him. Nobody could make a free throw down the stretch. Moore missed some critical free throws as well. The whole team is down percentage wise this year.

We're getting the shots.
Unfortunately, they're not falling of late.
5-2 in conference play, and yet fatally flawed. It'd be one thing if those two losses were "close"...but this team seems to be missing a heart. Much like football, I'm gonna take HHB's advice and temper my expectations...

Money has been through emotional hell. It's amazing he's even on campus. If we're fortunate enough to keep him, he will go down as one of the all-time greats.
Trauma. He is going to have a lifetime to deal with how the last two years have played out. Our coping mechanisms are all different, and there might be a boat load of things he's just not capable of doing right now. His mind, his body, his emotions are still in survival mode at this moment.

As a friend told me a week ago, 25% Money is still the best all around player we have. I really don't know how he's still on campus either. The last couple of weeks he's looked spent and I think it is entirely a product the logical hangover he's feeling. I'm immensely proud of the kid, because it is F-ing impressive to me that he's still gutting this out, pushing forward. He's doing something that few, very few, could accomplish under the same scenario. Incredible kid.

I'd love to see him here for the duration of his career, and I still think it is a flip of a coin if he is, but it will not surprise me in the least that he doesn't return back to Oakland after this school year. I just want to appreciate him while he's here and see him by the end of conference season see him at somewhere near 100% money.
