Okay, we get it ... the AD didn't pick the guy you wanted. Normally, I don't pay any attention to smack ... but I'm wondering: What
is your problem? Why the insulting, or worse, attitude?
So Stitt is a "glorified high school coach"? Does that make a D-III coach a "glorified Junior High coach"? How about NAIA? Is that grade school?
I know almost nothing about Pease, as a coach ... except that he has never had a HC gig.
Hauck? I would have had no particular problem with hiring him back. He seems to have matured a bit in his interactions with the media ... which would have been a plus.
Is Stitt going to be the "second coming"? Who knows? He might be a disaster, or a big home run. To me, he looks like a pretty solid individual -- perhaps a bit unconventional in terms of coaching philosophy, but with a lot of potential. I am not one who thinks UM "deserves" to only hire the cream of the coaching fraternity. (Besides, "the cream" goes to 1-A ... and succeeds.)
Perhaps you're offended by those who have gone overboard on the plus side. So take it out on them ... but please, back off on the slams against Mr. Stitt's character and coaching ability (unproven at this level as they are)
