Official Griz vs UCD Game Thread

If you cant get a 4th and 1 most of the time you arent going to win many games. I think we failed this year more than once and I think last year it was a problem as well. Changed the game. Good teams take advantage of that. UCD is a good team.

I liked the 4th down call early in second half, but they needed a bit better thought there. Maybe a quick hard count, assess the situation, then maybe a fake with sneed roll out keeper or short pass with the rollout option

Yes...Get him out of the pocket. Sneed can get that with his feet.

Our current O-Line is simply not good enough to count on in short yardage.

This oline....going quickly to the littlest running back was a horrible call, and that was when the momentum turned.

Hate to break it to you, but QB isn't even in the top 2 issues, and might not even be in the top 3. And this is not a ringing endorsement for QB play.

OL depth is very tight and very young. It's going to continue to be the Achilles heel for the rest of the year. They were playing well the 1st half and even getting some push in the run game, but started getting man handled as the game wore on. Sneed is a very tough player but he starts playing erratic when he starts facing adversity. In the 1st half he was sliding very well in the pocket and had good awareness. Davis made adjustments and figured out how to pressure him more effectively and really had him rattled.

D was on the field way too much the 2nd half. You could tell that they were flat out gassed by the 4th Q. Lack of pass rush from the front 4 hurts when you have a QB that can pick you apart like that. Davis made some good adjustments on reading our LB blitz packages. There WR's were flat out better athletes than our DB's.

Davis is an impressive team. Lots of talent. Great coach. Hopefully Hawk gets some FBS opportunities.

No need to sit and watch this implosion with a coach who is completely unwilling to try ANYTHING different when it’s painfully obvious what he IS trying continues to not work.

Insanity is continue to do the same thing over and over and expect different results. This is f***[*] insane.

Dude, they are a bad team with little depth. They are very poor in the trenches on both sides of the ball and the secondary couldn't cover a baby with a blanket. QB position is not good. Reality is hitting a bunch of people.

The only guy is GJ, and saying Bobby ran him off is not quite accurate. And even with GJ, this team would still be an afterthought in the BSC and FCS.

That wasn’t going to be a problem this year, we were promised they would compete for 4 quarters and they would make adjustments. We haven’t played a complete game this year.

I'm not sure they have played a complete game putting the whole season together. It's pretty pathetic.

Disagree. They seem to (outside of the UND game) play EXACTLY half a good game each game.

1st half against UNI
2nd half against Drake
Middle 50 minutes against WIU (really closest to 60 minutes they’ve come all year, yet we lost)
2nd half against Suck State
1st half (really first three quarters) against CP
2nd half against PSU
Nada against UND
1st half against CP

Someone needs to tell this coaching staff this is a 60 minute game.
