Whats wrong with the o-line?

Listening on the radio from Iowa. Hopefully they are wearing down that D-line and can start to get a good push in the 2nd half.

Love hearing Sulser's name get called

I think o-line has played fine or better.

I had hoped both the offensive line and Humphrey would look much improved. So far the o line has provided good protection but hasn’t been able to open running lanes, and cam is struggling to get the ball in the hands of wide open receivers. Cam definitely doesn’t throw a pretty ball even when it is on the money. Additionally, with knight out we are seeing what ostmo has to offer, and so far he’s not seeming to see the field all that well. Defensively we look good, and have played very well, but on several occasions there have been some bad angles taken that agains a more athletic opponent would have led to more yards at best, and potentially more points. Honestly the team looks pretty rusty, which we weren’t really expecting given the way Hauck has touted the team. He has repeatedly hinted that this team could be very good, and they certainly have the look to be so on paper, but right now they look pretty rusty on the field. Hopefully they shake it off and put together a more convincing half, especially on offense.

My two cents, and that's really all it's worth, is the O-line keeps trying to establish the inside run. They aren't successful yet, but what better time to keep trying?

Agreed. Lots of issues to fix before fall becuase this team, as seen the first half of this game, is middle of the road Big Sky at best.

I think you're both overestimating the rest of the conference and underestimating this team. Yeah there's a lot to clean up but it's the first game in a really really really really long time. Just give them a minute.

My observations from the first half are we look like we haven’t played a game in 485 days. We finally got in a groove offensively and I think the team will settle down in the second half. Special teams has looked great so far.

This. Lots of critics for a team that hasn’t played since forever ago. Up by 20 and yes - they look rusty. Running game is anemic right now, but you just lost your #1 back. Would like to see someone other than Ostmo get some touches. Humphrey looks ok, but He is not checking off in some instances. Akhem? Not double teamed so I hope they start throwing his way
