Official Game Thread: Griz vs. UCD

In the post game, this was asked of both coaches. BH essentially said he was trying to do something to change up the game. This, despite evidence Fife did well prior to being pulled. UCD coach said the Griz offense doesn't change much with either QB so they play it the same way defensively, which was obviously successful.

Quite possible BH knew/knows this is a bit of a throw away season because of a lack of strength in most areas of the team, for whatever reason. Never going to make the chipper. Have to give Ah Yat the snaps for both exp and his interest in staying here and not going into the portal.....say to Hawaii.

If true, it's a bit of a disappointment coming off a NC caliber team and probably begs the question of the coaches why things have fallen off so far versus the Dakota's. Just a suspicion.
Where is Ah Yat going to transfer to and play? He's not very good.

I have heard from so many posters this year how groundbreaking and effective it is to have two QB’s who can play, how brilliant the coaches are for playing both of them so that no matter what, the offense will do fine. What garbage.

It’s the same thing MSU tried the last couple of years. Nobody gets into a rhythm, it works against the bad teams, not the good. Each guy presses too much because at the end of the day, they want (and rightfully so) to be THE GUY. Pick one QB, make sure they know they’ll still get to play when, not if, they make a mistake. But this? This is stupid. It’s one thing if one is a running QB and the other isn’t, but they’re both the same guy.

Constantly switching not only breaks up the rhythm of the offense, it frustrates the QB and negativity affects their confidence; as well as frustrating and negatively affecting the entire team. You can see it.

Quarterbacks that can’t hit an open guy. Offensive line that can’t create a lane or get a push. Defensive line that can’t penetrate. Linebackers that can’t cover or rush the pass. DBs that can’t cover. Kickoff return gets nothing. Kickoff coverage gives big returns and touchdowns. This team is terrible across the board…Who’s at fault?
Didn't/Couldn't watch the game (ESPN..whatever-late nighter). Sounds like they didn't plug in both sides of the ball. Can't help but think, playing two consecutive games with conf teams low of the W/L. ? Maybe, Griz is a rebuild team this season? Did Davis play the Cat's yet?

I'm predicting that a HUGE number of Griz fans will be watching the Cat/Aggie game this weekend to take a peek at what kind of hell is coming. I have complete faith that Bobby and Co. will figure out a plan to beat the Cats.
