OFFICIAL GAME THREAD- GRIZ vs. App St

Nope, an interception is not an interception, except for the stats. If you don't understand that, then you don't understand the game.

Huh?

It's been said that the world's greatest evil is denying the pleas of justice and mercy from the suppliants. Please elaborate.

Or are you a lawyer.

If so; Never mind.

I am going to sue everyone who participated in this thread for slander/libel/copyright infringement. If Player Rep has taught me anything it is that message boards are lawsuit cash cows and college athletes are super cool to kick it with. This is NOT the "Official" thread. I started the "Official" thread a week ago, so you're all screwed and owe me money. I talked with some coaches and players and they agreed with me. My team of lawyers will see you all in court.

THE REAL OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: http://www.egriz.com/grizboard/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=58434" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This was a great and exciting game to watch. Dan moore was a stud, running thru people, stiff arms and also that sick hurdle over the defender, that had to be top 10 plays on espn. App couldn't stop moore, but they did a very good job on Nguyen, they didn't give him a chance to get things going. They punted the ball to where he could only fair catch it and they keyed on Nguyen on the run game. I wish Mckinney would've kept the ball a few more times on that qb option with nguyen, I saw huge holes for atleast 10yards for Mckinney and he actually did score that td from the qb option with nguyen.

I dont understand why we had a freshman (Naccarato) out there on kick returns. He ends up taking the ball out the endzone where clearly he shouldv'e kneed it, but he ends up getting drilled at the 5 yard line and the ball pops out. Where was nguyen? Nguyen is our best returner so we need our best out on the field. Nguyen is best in open space, get him the ball on kickoff and punt returns cause thats where he'll be most effective.

C'mon Grizz keep your head up high and learn from this game!
Go Griz!

The last interception was a ball thrown up for grabs on the goal line with 16 seconds left. It was fine. The prior interception came on a blatant non-PI call, where the defender completely and blocked the receiver, impeding him from moving forward. The first interception was not a good throw. Did you even watch the game?
An interception is still an interception. Now don’t take my comment as trash talk I think this QB will be fine just needs some more time And yes I did watch this game it was a pretty good one :thumb:

Nope, an interception is not an interception, except for the stats. If you don't understand that, then you don't understand the game.
Oh really so what your saying is that the interceptions didn’t effect the game in any way other than the stats. Weird maybe you didn’t watch the game ;)
Using the logic some suggest, a game is really only won or lost by a single point, and any additional points scored are only for the stat sheet.

He stared down his targets on every throw...

I don't think that's all that much of a big deal; if someone's open, they're open. It's like game-theory; if you try to outsmart someone, you end up outsmarting yourself. What really bothered me is that Nguyen was a non-entity all game and our punter only had one decent kick.

I don't expect McKinney to be able to do this well right now as a freshman, but it is something he needs to improve at to become an all-conference calibre QB. As a LB or Safety, it makes your job much much easier when you can count on reading the eyes of the QB. On the other hand, TM did do a VERY good job of selling the fakes on play action and screen plays.
