I can say I’ve never seen landing on the QB called in college. NFL yes. Never in college that I can recall.
You can almost set your watch by someone doing something stupid at the worst possible time.

Come on. He had plenty of time to let up once he laid the initial hit.
The ball was out and he took several steps and drove him into the ground. You can’t do that. That’s about the easiest call a ref can make.
