You don’t even know…hahaha watch the replay…it’s worse than reading this.

Want to relive the game in 20 minutes? Here’s a great highlight reel

This is the “mini-stroke” version….apologies to anyone this term may hit home about…

The announcers kept saying furmans d line was small but i thought they had really good size
They beat our OL all night. Rushing yards not including McDowell was 25 yards. Our D was stout, allowing 282 yards total offense, 34% passing completion percentage and our normal 94 yards rushing. And our normal bad penalties.

Yup our penalties, two really dumb ones, tackling on the sidelines, and big time pass interference, gave FU 30 yards offense in a critical end game defense....no next time!!!

The late hit out of bounds wouldn't have been a problem if sometime before the twelfth game of the season, the coaches - coached their players not to do it. It's called every dam time it happens. A lot of comments on the board tonight about how disciplined Furman played, which was the case. If Bergen or another Griz player had suffered a late hit out of bounds, the whole f^5king place would have lost its mind. Late hits out of bounds are as undisciplined as it gets.

The reality is that in the grand scheme of things, they don't think it's important. Not like it would take a herculean coaching effort to fix, they just don't feel it's worth the breath. But Hauck was quick to call out the three guys who didn't have block-in-the-back penalties (and rightly so) on the punt return because you know what - they were coached on it, over and over and over again. Don't f$%k up the blocking on a punt or kickoff return. It makes up for all the drives extended by personal fouls and referee bias and preferences. Think all the shit-talking called the last game. Coaches could have stopped that after the first call, but it wasn't important. Swagger was. Last night, not so much because they were in a dog fight. I'd love it if they treated every game like it was a dogfight, regardless of the score. Celebration and swagger have plenty of time to flower after the clock has run out. But kids today, what are you gonna do?

You should expect and can forgive game action penalties where the player is doing what they can to make a play. Sometimes, a jersey or facemask gets pulled, feet get tangled, and contact is made a count too early. That's football. Until late hits, roughing calls, and the like become important, it's not worth being troubled over. Until it costs them a game, it won't be important. Sad that it will need to come to that. Because I can't think of an effort that would be more worthwhile given "everybody is good" going forward.

First off, congratulations to Furman on a great game and season. Very tough team.

It was fun to be back in a great griz playoff atmosphere, my observations while attending.

-I believe in being a little more aggressive on those fourth and shorts when you’re in opposing territory. Someone can correct me, but we had four drives in Furman territory that yielded zero pts.(missed fgs and punts) I thought the conservative calls would bite us.

-penalties seemed huge in the moment. I never really see the replays much on the Jumbotron, but the griz definitely seemed to be hurting themselves too much, and it almost cost them.

I’m on mobile and might add some more thoughts later. Great game! Go griz!
