Outside of two plays the Griz DOMINATED that half. Unfortunately it doesn’t matter because the Griz have also committed the cardinal sin of missing scoring opportunities and letting a good team hang around. We had their defense on the ropes there and missed 3-4 plays that would have opened this game up. I think the defense is capable of a shutout in the second half, but they will need the crowd to START the third quarter

Good luck with that part. They're NEVER back in their seats at the start of the 3rd. Makes me crazy.

Hangover from the Delaney/Stitt era.

Hey TV watchers, how about that DB holding White or Fontes on the drive where we missed the FG? There was some poor officiating on that drive from where I sit in the NEZ. Wondering what the replay looked like?

Yes. Whoever is putting that graphic together is counting kickoff and punt return yards in “total offense”

It's not my math, it is the NCAA's… https://www.ncaa.com/game/6191694/team-stats

Also Furman hasn't had any penalties and the griz have had at least 3 or 4.
Furman is not a penalty prone team. That is good coaching and lots of player experience at a high level. To be honest, I am surprised UM is able to dominate Furman as they are. But, I have been to 4 games with Furman, and in only one were they ahead at the half. UM can't let them get an easy score to open the second half. Good game to watch here where it is almost as cold as it is in Missoula.

Yep. These refs have missed a lot of plays that would go the Griz way. Including an obvious offsides on our missed field goal. They stole points from us at the end of half.

Well it must be nice when they don’t call blatant offsides on things like a field goal.

Please, it’s been that way since I’ve been a Griz fan…at least 25 years.

They are theater aficionados however. The ruffing the punter call was an Oscar-worthy performance.

Maybe some quick hitting runs up the middle, instead of dancing around looking for a hole we need to hit it and move.

Furman:
1 running play for 53 yards
18 running plays for -6 yards
1 passing play for 70 yards
15 passing plays for 39 yards

Not one single sustained drive.

Stop the big plays and this game is gonna be a rout.

replay was short but looked like UM moved first...still, kinda sad when you attack refs for not calling something when the real problem was play calling.
