Luckily for UC Davis they recovered the kick.I didn't even think about the onside kick. I should have known they would try after our game though.

We are going to find out if Idaho is legit in the next couple of weeks.Davis wins. Tough luck to all the people who thought Idaho was the thing. I assume they are good or fine, but not great. I'm not sure if anyone is great at this point of the season.
I'd say SDSU is legit. Not enough data on the rest.
I'm entertained by Texas' & Oklahoma's tough sledding upon playing a week in week out SEC schedule so far. If I had to place a bet I honestly think Tennessee is the legit top dog there.
If Montana could do two things they'd be much more fearsome:
-stop the conservative playcalling in the 2nd half (although I saw improvement there tonight).
-wave a magic wand and fix the special teams.
I don't think there's any fix, magical or otherwise, for the defense.
This offense is the real deal and it might be better under Fife. When the playcalling is there, it rolls.
Not to take away from the Yotes performance I think SIU is down to their 3rd String QB and as a side note we have remember Idaho is using their 2nd string as well. I still think the Vandals are dangerous/top team.South Dakota looked pretty legit today too.
Unaware of Idaho QB injuries. Are those for the season or lesser duration? Not to take away from the Yotes performance I think SIU is down to their 3rd String QB and as a side note we have remember Idaho is as well. I still think the Vandals are dangerous/top team.
Their starter got injured vs Oregon, I think he's supposed to be back at the end of the year. And my mistake Idaho is on their 2nd String QBUnaware of Idaho QB injuries. Are those for the season or lesser duration?
Do I need a more valid reason to dislike Idaho than their portly, slovenly coach?
He has a beautiful wife so he must have some redeeming qualities. He is one helluva coach though. Gotta give him credit for the job he's done.
And, I don't know him that well but I think he might have a personality too.
That’s what people say about me. Little do they know my wife lost much of her eyesight and a complete sense of smell at an early age.He has a beautiful wife so he must have some redeeming qualities.![]()
I’d say they were in control until the surprise (to the coaches) kick. Then they absolutely were not. Instead they scored just enough and as DBM said, if they get the last one, they win. Funny how someone that played the game doesn’t understand that in-game momentum is real. They really weren't in control though. That's the thing. If Eastern had been able to recover the second onside kick, It's quite likely that they would have won the game. The Griz defense was not able to stop eastern's offense at all during the second half. The Griz finally got a lucky break when the second onside went out of bounds. That's not being in control.
Hey…that’s a win for you though! Gotta take them when we can! That’s what people say about me. Little do they know my wife lost much of her eyesight and a complete sense of smell at an early age.
Question for you both: What are the odds of two successful onside kicks in the same game by the same team?I’d say they were in control until the surprise (to the coaches) kick. And the history of falling VICTIM to the onside kick, remember what Suck State did a couple years ago, Two, back to freaking back onside kicks!! You’d think a team in such a position as EWU was, of course they’d try an onside kick to steal a possession. Frankly I’m surprised they didn’t try it...Pretty disappointed that our coaches did not have the team ready for the EWU successful onside kick. Especially with our history in Cheney. This special team error reminded me of the fake punt blunder against NDSU last year. Both those plays completely got EWU and NDSU back into the games.
while I don't always agree with Hoops he was not wrong when he said Griz were in control..they were there was never any doubt.I understand your point but considering how the special teams unit was playing last night, I'm not sure the odds were actually in our favor. In any case, my point was simply that hoops was wrong when he said the Griz were in control. It should have never come down to three points and an onside kick.
