Offensive Problems aren't the qbs...

It's costly penalties and dropped passes!

Both those problems have hurt our qb production this season. Unfortunately for AhYat he's yet to mature to overcome obstacles. Meanwhile, Fife's maturity and experience minimize things more.

Honestly, after watching the last few games on demand, I think we're a little harsh with our qbs.

Yes, AhYat makes a few more questionable passing decisions. Drives stall more with him. There's more critical drops and costly penalties with him. He made 1 real bad decision against PSU.

The dropped passes stalled multiple drives. Those definitely weren't his fault.

Why does Fife get better consistency?
1. He trusts his receivers more to make plays. Meaning, he chooses to pass more often, than run.

2. He utilizes the middle 1/3 of the field more, with much quicker decisions.

3. He throws much easier to catch passes. He throws more passes with better touch and finesse than AhYat.
AhYat hasn't yet learned what passes to throw when. He strong arms too many passes.

4. The 2 qb rotation and inconsistent play calls have hurt both.

Basically, the difference of the 2 are the little things. Please watch the PSU game, AhYat didn't play as bad as many are saying. His team made more mistakes that made things worse for him.

While it’s true that the receivers weren’t doing Ah Yat any favors, we have had enough statistical data for several weeks now that shows the offense is much more productive with Fife at the helm. The QB rotation shouldn’t have been a thing this week.

I believe that EITHER Fire or KAY would be perfect fine if they were managed better. Big picture, injuries or transfer portal will most likely make the decision for Bob H.

We have bigger problems than the 2 QB system. Our offensive scheme is vanilla and our line play has taken a dive.

Seems like the run blocking has left the building..
Griz ran for 199 yards and averaged 6.4 yards a carry.... Griz(mostly Fife) threw for 247 yards. The o line did fine. Ah Yat is just slow to make decisions. No o line is going to give you all day to make a throw 🤣

QB needs time and protection, that's O line business

For the most part pass protection has been okay. Portland saw Ah Yat getting rattled so they released the hounds with constant blitzes. The line could only offer brief protection.

In turn he threw to his relief receivers in the flats 2/3rds of the time. These 0 to 3 yard passes made it more difficult to advance the ball. That is not all he did but it was his tendency. Fife’s experience had his eyes forward throwing 7 to 10 yard passes allowing us to sustain our drives instead of just outlet passes.

Don’t be hating on me. I like Ah Yat. He is gifted and trying hard. He just still needs more time to develop. He should not be our number one at this time
