Offensive Line

This will be a huge advantage Griz next week. Watched the Cat game tonight. NAU was in the Cat backfield quite a bit, unlike last week when they rarely got close to Simis. Same thing on the other side of the ball. Aside from an early sack, Cats could not get pressure on Cookus. Griz got a bunch of sacks last week. Griz should rule the trenches.

Agreed, just hope Semore doesn't get too aggressive and leave a bunch of space for Murray to run if he eludes pressure. Definitely need a spy on him.

Msu OL hasn’t been great in pass blocking, but they dominated nau in the trenches on the ground. Expect to see a lot of lasane on power/counter/inside zone.

As for msu getting pressure, they’ve been doing a lot of max drop with limited blitzing vs the better passing teams Wash St/EWU/NAU.

Definitely will be an interesting coaching chess match as the two teams are stark contrasts to each other

Been more guards pulling, Simis is good at crack blocking. Seeing more holes opening in the center of the line. Lee is seeing the holes better and getting more consistent. Calhoun is a good one cut and power forward runner.
O-line is on target to have a great cat-Griz game.
Second string O-line had a good game against NCU, it was funny to hear announcers comment on how UM continues to find large linemen. Future for this group looks solid.

Jeff giving props to Germer. Love what he does with offensive lines.
