I think your going to see some terrific battles this spring and fall. The good news is this group is working really hard in winter conditioning and they are pushing each other hard. The final result will be all 10 sophomores, juniors and seniors that will be poised to have a great season in a system they are now comfortable playing in. They also get along well and support one another.

Good to hear. I assume Gerber will make them all stronger. Thanks for the info.

I hope to God we are relying upon more than baby food to make our lineman stronger. Maybe they could ALSO lift some weights. What a dumbass statement!

Exactly, Ursa! Christ, can you imagine how many of these things a lineman would have to eat to feel full? Jesus!

Definitely. Oviatt was pretty laid back and didn't push the players real hard, and was more about speed and flexibility training than true strength training. The team will be stronger under Gerber, and he will push them hard.

Ahhh the irony of Egriz knows NO BOUNDS. Last year, the Griz NEVER threw it deep and there was at least 10 threads devoted to it. The Hauck era the Griz NEVER threw it deep either and RP's head was on a chopping block for it for eight years on this board. 2013, the Griz throw it deep TOO MUCH!! lol....It never stops on this board.

PR is also correct, JJ had a shoulder injury that never really healed. It wasn't major. Basically a deep bone bruise that only time and no football of any kind was going to heal.

But even with that, I don't wonder "what might have been". JJ was great, from start to finish. Don't give a rats about his completion percentage. That means nothing to me. JJ's intangibles way overshadow any inconsistency with his throws. And he basically only couldn't seem to deliver in ONE game and that was the last one. In 12 other games, he was the man, and charts and graphs can't disprove that.
