The UM o-line was actually pretty good today, both in opening holes as the game went on and pass protection. JJ was sacked only once. JJ was terrific today.

What is evident is UM fans who don't understand the game.

:!:

Hang on, let me Google know-it-all

What's actually evident to me is overzealous fans that might know more than you believe that they do, but that drink and post before they think it through. I don't agree with the OP, but maybe just correct people you feel are in error and dispense with the arrogance. People might listen more. I feel like you're right pretty often, but the disposition of a lot of the posts make me want to plug my ears and sing nursery rhymes. :twocents:

I post directly. I'm sorry I don't have time to baby some of you. Again, the o-line played pretty well today, especially as the game went on. That is indisputable. Just read the posts, and maybe you'll learn something. Or, are you one of those everyone gets a ribbon guys?

They struggled to open holes early on, but I knew that would change as the game progressed. My biggest concern was them keeping Daly away from JJ and other than the one sack he had, I thought the o-line protected well.

It was no surprise the Griz couldn't move the ball early, you had to figure the Cats would come out sky-high early and shut the run down, once the adrenaline wore off a little things evened out.

Honestly, it seems like you have nothing but time. ;)

I don't dispute that they played pretty well, but hey, as you pointed out, I'm no expert. I will freely admit to that, dignity intact. Nevertheless, the Oline looked playoff caliber to me in the second half and seemed to reflect good adjustments by the staff. I wasn't disputing that. I retract any statement that might have insinuated, implied, or otherwise led to that conclusion. Appololologies, counselor.

Also, a thank you is in order for the generous assistance that was afforded myself and others in your reply. Not only with the shedding of the rank-and-file peasantry and the ignorance that often accompanies that condition, but also in the understanding of the American Sporting Fellow in general.

As far as your final sentence- hell no. I think the kids' teams that I've coached (bball) would find that notion pretty ridiculous. References available upon request.

Don't chafe too much Player, we (read: UM football team) won!

Can't wait for the selection show...late November is here and not only are we in the conversation, but looking like a contender! Can't wait!

Cheers and go Griz!

You seem to get it, with regard to the o-line play and otherwise. Why do you defend people who don't understand how the o-line played today? Why are you so offended by someone like myself who calls a spade a spade? When I am watching the Griz game followed by the EWU game followed by FBS games, I also look online and post. I also worked out twice today, once while watching games. Can you not watch a football game and post at the same time?

Idk, maybe I should've been public defender hah.

No...the only workout I can usually manage on Saturdays in the fall is fighting off football-related anxiety with vodka and beer. I usually don't post during the game because I'm either at the game, or I'm behind on the broadcast with the DVR due to being interrupted frequently by females that hold far less stake in such matters...

By the way, at no point was I offended :thumb:

If the workout part is truth, kudos!
