If a offense comes out in 13 personnel on 3rd and short, what defense do you call? Include the pass cover also.

I believe 31 personnel is 3 RB's and 1 TE. At least that's how we did it back in the day....I think that's pretty standard lingo.

Then probably something out of a 44 stack so that they cant create mismatches with smaller dbs. The more important part is what part of the field are we in.

This is where you have special packages in these situations. You need a heavy package that can stop the run and also your best cover guys because you are playing cover 0 behind it. Nickel is gone for a beefier linebacker. Edge rushers are gone. Just need beef.
