I would like to have our stats on how many times we ran the ball versus the pass. The opposing Defensive Coordinators could count on us doing just that most of the time and they would shut us down.
Keeping the other team guessing on what we are going to do is paramount. When we failed to gain 3-4 yards on first down, we seemed to go three and out? Thoughts on why we run it up the gut on first down?
It's not first down that's the problem. The ESPN3 commentators explain it. The Griz run a dive after most mid range pass completions and pass attempts.... They were predicting the running plays with amazing accuracy. Watch the tape....
This. The same commentator covered both of our playoff games, and he had a pretty good idea of what we were going to do.

Stitt is going to need not only an athlete, but someone that can process information in a hurry for this offense to work when you start playing in the playoffs. thats the way i see it. Maybe i am wrong, but there was a reason the offense was checking into run plays all the time when down by 20+. ndsu figured it out or some tendancy was tipping the defense.

JJ- Vernon-Prukop --If the QB is not going to run then he has nothing to read and hands the ball to the running back. Do you think NDSU was worried about Brady running off a zone read?

It doesn't appear to be much different than many other offenses, except that it is up-tempo, however, many schools run a similar up-tempo. A frequent poster on the board remarked that I should stick to tennis and he might be right, but I don't see what is much different or difficult about the Stitt offense.
