There seem to be two schools of thought here, and according to this exchange, the committee is trying to get the best 24 teams in, not the best 24 resumes.

Are there 16 teams with better resumes than us? Debatable, but you can make that argument.

I don't think there are 16 at large teams better than us right now, and the eye test confirms that.

But yeah, stomping the neighbors would certainly make our lives much easier. :lol:

In my opinion, Montana is definitely one of the top 10-15 teams in FCS right now. If the Griz lose to the Cats next weekend, however, they will be 7-4, with no good wins, but also no bad losses. They would place the committee in an interesting position, of having to pick a team who didn't finish in the top 5 in their conference, for the playoffs (which I believe they should).

Way harder bubble (more 7-4 teams likely) this year. Even so, it will not shock me if the MVFC gets a (6-5) team in ... but it won't necessarily be UNI.

Again, against a terrible defense that couldn't stop or cover anybody. This proves nothing besides EWU being awful. Those are his only TDs as a Griz. Some ppl are easily impressed. Do you guys honestly think Britt would put up those kind of numbers vs Weber or Sac?

Do you honestly think Brown could have matched those numbers vs EWU?

I'm not defending Brown. We all now know he sucks, but the coaches gave him the chances they thought he could handle. It's so easy to have 20/20 vision with all we know now. And again Britt is still un-tested. Brown had been in game-situations before, so to rip giving Brown the first shot is ignorant to me and I stand by that.
