I have been extremely critical of our O-Line for many years. I want to say this....THIS O-LINE PLAYED WITH HEART AND PASSION FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS! OUTSTANDING JOB FELLAS! Walker, get well!

I’ve said it a couple times in the past 12 hours. The best, most complete game they’ve played against a quality opponent in over 2 years. Maybe since before covid.

Can vim do another evaluation like he did after the NAU game? Vim? You there vim?
I would actually love to see that from him to get a better more detailed sense of how much they’ve actually improved because they clearly have.

That’s why I’d love to see it too.

Weird the way they can't push out that one late first down that makes wins easier.

Weird in one way, but not in another: It's called "the opponent." That's when they're most desperate, and good teams – and Idaho is a very good team – try every way they can to step it up.

There's nothing that makes OL play more difficult than predictability. About the only play we seem to be able to call on first down is a run up the gut. Recognizing that, it's not hard to defend and is very, very hard to block.

The wonderful option pitch that Gilman took to the house last week was never run or if it was, I missed it.

You didn’t miss it. I would really like to see the cumulative stats for the RPO run up the middle. It has to be very poor. I was really thrilled to see the creativity of the first half — the antithesis of Bobby Ball. The second half was abysmally predictable.

And the opponent knows the Griz will prefer to run the ball, to keep the clock running and not have the risk of a bad result of a pass (like a pick or clock stoppage). I had thought of passing on the last 4th down play, because the clock was going to stop anyway if we didn't get a first down.

Exactly, that’s why I started the thread on that play specifically…clock was gonna stop regardless…that should have opened up the ENTIRE playbook. There was no need to go “predictable” or conservative there…
