Offensive play calling is predictable and vanilla. Short pass game is non existent so no need for any opposing team to play against it. Makes stuffing the run even easier.
We average 40 points a game. You don't do that with a vanilla offense. And what, exactly would you call a "short passing game"? JJ's first two completions were for 7 yards each. He had completions of 9, 15, 2, 14, 6, 8, 18, 7, 4, 10, 7, 5, 7, 5, 7, 38, 23, 8, 40, 7, 0 and 2. That's 14 of 22 completions shorter than 10 yards. Looks like a pretty good mix to me...
And weren't about 9 of those on the last drive? That is also when they found the TEs... perhaps we should be saying "consistent short passing game."
The last drive went 14, 4, -, 7, 8, 8, 7, 15, -, 5, -, -, -, 2. So 7 of the 14 on the last drive.
And yes, all 4 TE catches were on the last drive.
