Notes on U.S.C.

--Remember, the time has changed, from 3 p.m. Missoula time to 7 p.m. Missoula time. Why? We need that Pac-12 TV revenue! And we're not going to bump the Utah-Arizona State football game at 3.
--Good that we have some height this year. We'll need it against USC's 7' center Evan Mobley. He's listed on every single pre-season College Player of the Year list--despite the fact he has yet to play his first collegiate game (tonight against Cal Baptist.) He's a consensus 5-star recruit, and likely top-5 pick in next year's NBA draft.
--They also have a new kid who shoots 45.7% from three point range. That would be 6'6" guard Noah Baumann, who is eligible this year after transferring in from San Jose State where in the 2018-19 season he was a teammate of our own Michael Steadman.
--Never forget their "Sixth Man." No, not the crowd. The refs. Last time we played U.S.C.--a game I attended--we outscored them from the field but were murdered at the free-throw line. Always true at Washington as well--though not so much at Stanford or the last time we played at Cal. Just expect: A lot of foul calls against our bigs--not to mention our wings and our guards!

ESPN has Mobley as the #3 new impact player in the country. A real challenge for Mr. Steadman out of the gate. BTW, that football game was cancelled because of ASU Kung flu cases so that's probably not the reason the Griz/SC game was moved. Utah is playing UW Saturday night on a reschedule after the Apple Cup was axed for the same thing. No football on the PAC network when we were originally slated to tip off.

Thanks. Didn't know that.

...u s c plays in regular time...
...the way they played in overtime...
...a rout that doesn’t need extra time...

... 8-) ...

Just because a player is a pre-season POY candidate doesn’t “likely” equate to that player being a top 5 draft pick. Study the NBA’s draft history and you will see it is very unlikely. Another JV team level opinion.
