They beat NAU when they were #9 in the f***[*] country using a 3rd string QB/converted H-back. Seriously, what does it take to have a “quality win” these days?

They beat a HS Quarterbacked NAU f***[*] team! Not even remotely close to the same thing (#9)! And even then the WR dropped the non-contested tieing points! Wow.
NAU was a 7-5 team that outscored their opponents by a whopping 7 points. They lost their undeserved playoff game to non-scholarship San Diego 41-10. When that is the game you point to as the highlight of the season, it says something about the season.

Again, they were #9 in the country. Justify your hatred all you want....just makes you look small.
Says the guy who suddenly claims a mid-season poll ranking is superior to real results, when they don't fit his narrative. That's what's small.

Coach Stitt took the high road, some of you need to take notes.

kem was going to take the high road, don't you remember(bqm) he was going to quit being a griz fan if stitt didn't get fired. kem's a real gem.
Thanks for the acknowledgement. One needs to be able to draw a line of intolerance for pure stupidity, even for a program you have supported for 60 years. The "gem" label is unusually special, though. Fortunately, the decision makers saw it the way I did, unlike the whiners like you and AZ who could not draw that line.

it was their ranking when we beat them. Fact, not narrative. We beat them. Fact, not narrative. What they did AFTER that is irrelevant. If beating the #9 team in the country doesn’t count as a quality win, then really NOTHING qualifies as a quality win.

 Whiners. You need to go back and read a few of my posts after the ‘scat loss, old man. Would have thought someone with as many years on this earth as you would be able to understand....apparently I gave you too much credit.

Thanks for beating NDSU in the first game of the year.

Good luck at OSU, stitt will fit right in there, that program hasn't focused on defense at any point in the last 10+ years either!

It’s the Big 12. NOBODY focuses on defense in that conference.

Thanks Coach Stitt. You are a class act! Wish you the very best in all your future endeavours!

i guess i better repeat myself. kem is the guy who was going to quit being a griz fan unless the coach was fired, because he was so hurted by a couple losses. teensy tiny.

pfft, i thought stitt should have another year because it seemed like the program was headed in the right direction, but i never complained about it when he was fired, or that hauck was hired as his replacement. all the whining is coming from you, to the point where you turned this thread into what it is because you needed to whine your entitled little whine.

Nothing that happened and nothing that anyone can say will take away the absolute disgust and hurt I felt in Washington Grizzly Stadium when we were beaten by a losing MSU team, then duplicated in Bozeman the following year. Memories that will be hard to forget even after coming years of better Griz football.

Did you ever get over it when MSU owned us from ‘56-‘84 with a 22-8 record against us or was that enough time to heal and forget.

You sound just like a bobcat fan. When you have to go back 60+ years, you are really reaching.

Kem has a very good point.

Going back that far was exactly my point. Time and winning will quickly heal those wounds. Kem makes it sound like he’s scared for life because of a now rare two game winning streak against us. Yes, it sucked but that’s sports and we will now quickly own them again since we have a coach that considers the brawl THE most important game on the schedule, maybe even natty’s.
If the part about the importance of the bobcat game and a national championship is even remotely true that might be a problem, beat an average team at best or winning a title. I think that should be pretty easy to pick.

Cheap shot. He didn't produce the desired results in the time provide. But, you need not disrespect him.
I have appreciated many of your posts over the years, but...this is not worthy of you. Drunk at the time?
Quote(from memory)from the movie "The Professionals."
"You bastard!"
"Yes, sir. In my case an accident of birth. But, you sir, are a self made man."
Accident of birth, or a self made man?

He’s self made, no doubt.

Don’t call 5700 out. It hurts his feelings.

zzzzzz.

Agreed. Texas was trying to with Strong there. I think if Herman is actually the real deal, he will have them competing for playoff spots here within the next 2 seasons max. Strong brought in a lot of talent defensively

The bottom line is coach Stitt gave all he had but fell short of Grizzly standards on the field! One win over NDSU was not going to keep his job forever!= Win the BSC ,beat Bozeman and get 2 playoff wins is the standard here... Bobby Hauck will bring Montana back to playing hard physical football and he will be prepared in all three disciplines every game! I thank coach Stitt and think he will do well at OSU where he can concentrate on just offense... He will go to OSU a better coach and a better man! The Griz will return to the top of the FCS and will hang more NC' banners in the stadium no doubt!!! Go Griz!

Actually Hauck is going to quickly realize...... times have changed. The Big Sky is a lot better and the top tier of FCS is certainly a lot better than what he remembers. He couldn't close the deal last time here, and it's going to be a lot tougher sledding this time around.

You sure didn’t watch any Iowa State games did you?

He closed a lot of deals. 32-1 vs the BSC his last 4 years at UM. That one loss was not to MSU.

He will close the deal against state college

Guys, who cares? He's gone, and we're definitely gonna do better than 7-4 next season. If not, there are some serious issues.
