i do love the griz

Let me first say I'm always there at the start of the 3rd quarter, there that's out of the way. So our band does well, and they're fun to watch in the south endzone, but once they get on the field it's not that exciting. How awesome would it be if they could do more high energy stuff more like these guys do ?

It would at least be entertaining :)

Not to rain on your parade...
Nobody (except maybe their Mothers) goes to the games to watch the band at halftime.
Nobody. Never. Doesn't matter how "entertaining" their show.
Hell even the Super Bowl halftime shows are usually not worth watching.

Then how do you know? ;) Me? I think I've left the stadium at half-time once, maybe twice. Take a leak, grab a snack, watch the band. Right there, ready to go at the kick-off.

I watch the Grizzlies Marching Band halftime show every chance I get, which is about every game. They actually put on a great show and have a fantastic sound. :thumb: You should watch them warm up before they march through the tailgates. Warm up is over by the amphitheater 12:30ish. As for the upcoming game at EWU the GMB will be there, so I hope that those Griz fans attending will cheer them on. I'm thinking they should add something like this to their drum line.

Then you clearly have never attended a college football game in the south. Those fans LOVE their marching bands and support them very well. Or you've never been to a big-time college football game like like Ohio State or USC, or Tennessee, or Washington where the bands have so much tradition and they have so much fun you can't help but stick around at half to watch. Don't try to fool yourself -- there are many schools in the country where the crowd sticks around at halftime to watch the band.

All the schools you mentioned have no exit rules.

True that, but most of the big schools do just because of the immense size of their crowds. But those crowds could still flood the concessions, restrooms, etc., but yet many fans at those schools stay in their seats at half to watch the bands because of the traditions and out of respect for the band. A good band can keep your crowd energized through the halftime and ready for when the team takes the field again. To be honest with you, I would have no problem at all with a "no exit" rule at either of the Montana schools. We both have serious problems with a lack of fans in the stands at the start of the third quarter.
