The pollsters are huffing paint or something. There is absolutely no explanation for a team to be ranked that high after beating two NAIA teams.
You're probably right, but I bet they are still top 8.
"Or something" is right... got to be something more potent than just paint.
I won't do my poll guesses until tomorrow when I have all the FCS results, but I'm making an early WAG that K-State will drop out of the top-10 (at least) and Monmouth will slot in at about #18-20.
Ok, Acetone... And you will never get close to guessing correct by just drinking beer or liquor. You have to get in with the minds of the pollsters, become them, see talking dogs waving outside the window... Straight up LSD, Playa!
As a chemist, I know all about acetone ... and I'm not about to sniff that in a big way.
If you followed my "Poll Guesses" thread, you would know that I have expressed some concern about my own personal mental state versus getting into the minds of the pollsters. :?
I can generally "guess" over half of their rankings exactly, and like maybe 80% within one or two spots. And that's based only on beer or/and liquor.
Here's the deal: It would not surprise me if K-State drops say 8-10 spots. Monmouth will be rewarded by being moved into the top-25, but NOT ahead of the Owls ... even though the Hawks beat the crap out of the Owls today. How weird would that be? Hopefully, it will make more sense than that, but I would not be willing to put $$$ on it.
