I understand we want to take our time but I get the impression that Haslam is :jack:

Yeah, I agree. f*** it. Why bother actually interviewing multiple times? Let's just roll the damned dice and get on with it, huh?

Obvious you fellas have never hired for a high profile position before.

Dead wrong on your assessment. Been on both sides of the equation. Decisive leaders - know what they want, go after it without reservations, pull the trigger. We would have lost WWII with this mentality. Especially given how long they knew this was coming.
Read "Killing Patton." Surprising we won the war.

Ended WWII and because of stupid politics created a Cold War for 45 year.

Since we still haven’t discovered the new HC,

Has anybody watched the movie based on a true story “When The Game Stands Tall” base on the coach from De La Salle High School that won 152 straight games still coaching there and was given offers to coach at Cal and Stanford.

Coach Bob Ladouceur, there is a coach with character and knows how to win

UW just finished practice today, so we'll find out if he was there or not...I'm thinking he was at practice.

Then why such a big problem with 3 interviews? For my current position I interviewed with no less than 7 people. ALL individually. We're not interviewing for a janitor. We're looking for THE guy to lead us back to the promised land. Not sure how being thorough and deliberate negatively affects that decision.

I don't have a problem with being thorough and deliberate. I have a problem with being slow and indecisive. These are not your usual candidates. Coaches have huge egos and it is likely one or more will tire of the process. The Griz could lose (maybe already have) their top candidate. There was plenty of time to do the pre-work for this decision. Possibly Pease is the best candidate and waiting for him is the right choice. We will see.

Please identify for me the indications in this process that enable you to distinguish between "thorough and deliberate" and "slow and indecisive".

Often to include a contracted psych evaluator as well. Had to fake that one.
