Not so fast my friend, Pease in town?

Three interviews isn't weird at all.

1)Phone interview to gauge basic info
2)In person at neutral location. (Spokane for Pease)
3)Finalist on campus interview.

3rd, did you say 3rd interview? Seriously something wrong with that. You are telling me they can't make a damn decision without three interviews? Well, Wilma has great ta ta's, but Betty's Dad said he would give me a job and he is rich, Darla has a great can and Susie is the hottest girl in the dorms. I will take all of them on three dates and then I should be able to figure out which is the best one. Three days later - no dates and they are all disgusted with you, other than Clara who is ugly as hell and has no options. Haslam better be careful or the Griz will end up with a Rash situation. Candidates will tire of this. Pull the trigger already. That they are still interviewing candidates is ridiculous. They should have been negotiating salaries this week and announcing this morning.
I understand we want to take our time but I get the impression that Haslam is :jack:

Yeah, I agree. f*** it. Why bother actually interviewing multiple times? Let's just roll the damned dice and get on with it, huh?

Obvious you fellas have never hired for a high profile position before.

Dead wrong on your assessment. Been on both sides of the equation. Decisive leaders - know what they want, go after it without reservations, pull the trigger. We would have lost WWII with this mentality. Especially given how long they knew this was coming.

Then why such a big problem with 3 interviews? For my current position I interviewed with no less than 7 people. ALL individually. We're not interviewing for a janitor. We're looking for THE guy to lead us back to the promised land. Not sure how being thorough and deliberate negatively affects that decision.

Everything about this makes sense, assuming Pease actually is in town. Third interview is a bit misleading. The first would be a phone call, and the second likely a meeting with KH somewhere. The third was delayed for weather. This all fits the perceived stall we all see here. It is not a stall. It's giving KH the opportunity for a final negotiation with the candidate he wants. The job goes to Pease if he wants it. Not a prediction, folks. It's a logical progression. LOL....I said "logical" on Egriz.

I don't have a problem with being thorough and deliberate. I have a problem with being slow and indecisive. These are not your usual candidates. Coaches have huge egos and it is likely one or more will tire of the process. The Griz could lose (maybe already have) their top candidate. There was plenty of time to do the pre-work for this decision. Possibly Pease is the best candidate and waiting for him is the right choice. We will see.

Maybe when we are going to offer him 1/2 of what he is now making?

History defeats your tirade here. WWII started in September of 1939, with "decisive" leadership you guys showed up in December of 1941. Maybe it was like game day at WGS and you guys were still at the tail gate party, for whatever reason you missed kickoff and all of the first quarter. Don't get me wrong, we are all glad you came into it and you kicked holy hell out of the enemy when you did. Up until the US joining we were losing both in terms of field position and time of possession. :D

Thus endth the lesson. Carry on.

Brent Pease should be the coach. His recruiting is national not only out west but south and south east. Our two recruits from East Lake are tremendous players. Brent's presence here would pay dividends. Now and in the future. He recruited Morningway son to Flordia. He was a top 5 quarter back out of high school. Maybe since Marty is building a new home here he might entice him to join his sister at the U of M. Would have 2 yrs. left.

Listen professor - don't go getting all technical on me with facts and such. Next thing you know BW will have a graph and some color charts.

Could someone text me when it is official that Pease is the new HC.

Just a tip, but don't sit waiting...it may never come

That's OK, although it is obviously not going to be announced on Egriz, and I have Christmas shopping to do.

You're not done xmas shopping...slacker

Well it's for my present and I have been taking my time, and I can't leave Egriz to go to Amazon, for fear of missing the children at play seeking a new HC

If your present is a second monitor you could solve this problem for the future...
