Northern Iowa Panthers Scouting Report

UNI and UM are on opposite sides of the spectrum for offence schemes. Doubt Stitt is going to go smash mouth, speed kills and that is what UM has. Brady passes up open running lanes on option and when he keeps it he runs like he is afraid of contact, maybe too aware of being hit. I'm afraid he is going to get worse injuries dive bombing to the turf on every run. WRs are green but athletic and they seem to willing to block, second level and secondary are areas to be exploited coach's son looks good at middle linebacker edges can be exploited. UNI secondary thin and inexperienced. Hope WR #7 knows playbook and can get playing time soon, most impressive WR in pregame warm up.

The UMass transfer, #7 Bio on gogriz:

2016: Taylor will be in the starting receiver rotation after arriving at Montana in time for fall camp and enrolling in school for Fall 2016.

High School: ... Also held offers from Duke and Indiana.

Thanks Brint. I'm thinking if the Griz are going to return to greatness they've got to beat a team who is favored. Why not start with UNI?

I have a hard time taking coach Farley seriously. He missed on naming Jared, Harley and Chris were there for the taking. Farley is preaching publicly keep away ball from Montana O. Seems if he was more confident, he would be promoting his team's strengths. Farley has young team, no kicker, and their D player of the week is 5'9" 200lb MLB Jared (DON'T NEED TO BE CORRECTED LISTED MEASURSABLES), one dimensional O his number is #15. They have plenty of their own issues this year. If game is close Montana's special teams is stronger. Farley is so worried he has lost his hair. He looks like the dad on the 70's TV show and it wouldn't take much make-up to look like a Klingon.

I was getting ready to be offended and outraged by this comment until I did the Harley Farley/Chris Farley math. Well played, Sir!

Sincerely, Jared.

I hope the Griz take it to UNI. I think you guys have a damn good shot. I also think UNI is too high on the rankings. Best of luck!

I similarly hope EWU beats UNDSU. Great chance for the Mule & Co.

I really wish both your teams the best ... EWU has a better chance of course.
I will really be watching the Griz close to see how their defense turns out under new management, this game speaks volumes for their coming year.
EWU has the real deal with kupp .. but it takes both offense and defense?

We will see what we will see

UNI essentially runs the triple option from the spread/shotgun. Good QB. Hopefully, he will be contained and pounded. UNI will be a good warmup for CP's triple option, run from under center. UNI in their dome seems like a tall order to me. Go Griz.

A huge test for our defense. Every man has to do his job, 1/11th..
