Northern Illinois tonight.... ex Griz Coaches

Northern Illinois plays Kent State for MAC championship tonight. Good luck to ex-griz scondary coach (2000-2001) and current Northern Illinois head coach Dave Doeren as he guides Northern Illinois into a possible BCS bowl with a win. Ex Griz Offensive Coordinator Bob Cole (1999-2000) serves as quarterback coach for the Huskies. Always great to see our ol' coaches succeeding at other BCS schools. Dave Doeren stock has risen with his name mentioned at many high profile coaching vacancies throughout the country. :clap:

If you believe the rumors, back in 2009 after Bobby left Doeren was actually the UM's 1st choice but wanted higher pay and the BOR wouldn't approve it.

I know hind-sight is always 20/20 but it makes you wonder if spending the money then
would've bypassed a lot of the drama in Missoula?
