Northern CO @ NAU

By the way, GREAT game NAU. I hope that win gets your team back in the conference race. Montana appreciates the help from Weber State and NAU, btw.

I am not going to get into the who is a better player thing here. I expect any fan to stick by their player. I also respect that. As for Beitzel, he certainly is not one dimensional. He is known as a shooter. He is also a good ballhander, and much better taking the ball to the hole than I thought he was. He is also as clutch from the line as anyone. I almost choked when he missed a FT against NAU.

IF a team needs a big man to lead it, Qvale is your pick. If a team needs a PG, either Beitzel or Cherry is that player this year. It is ridiculous to expect an UNC fan to side with a GRIZ fan, and vise versa on this.

Both are SR leaders, both teams are lucky to have each leading them, and as Big Sky fan, I am going to enjoy what is left of their respected careers this season.

That's what i was referring too. QVval and Beitzal are two completely different players. You can't compare them. Scottsgriz doesn't seem to grasp that. It's really simple though. Beitzal is a shooter, ballhandler, clutch player and QVal is good at rebounder, shooting and blocks. They're both good and anyone can make an argument for either one. Scottsgriz says Devon doesn't belong in the conversation, which is just stupidity.

I grasp the fact that they both play different positions just fine. They are also both good.

You don't seem to grasp that they can still be compared, and one of them is better than the other. If Beitzel was a Griz, and Qvale was a bear, I would still draft Q over B given the choice. I am a griz fan, but not a sentimental moron. Every coach in the Big Sky would make the same choice.

This all started with you thinking the better overall player, regardless of position, had no business in the MVP discussion. That goes beyond being a fan and into man-crush territory. I of course never said Beitzel shouldn't be in the conversation and think it would be criminal if he wasn't in the top 3.

How do you figure? Did you ask them?

I did. First I asked them if it was possible to compare two players even if they played different positions and had different styles. They all agree you could as long as your I.Q. was over 50.

Then I asked them who they would choose with the #1 overall pick if all of the players in the Big Sky were tossed into a draft. They all agree that since Lillard was unavailable due to injury they would choose Qvale over Beitzel without giving it a second thought. Your coach in particular said Beitzel is a good player and a tough competitor, but he would still have to choose Qvale.

He then asked me not to tell you. He said no matter how obvious it was, your emotional attachment would mean you could never understand. I said I couldn’t make that promise.

I see what you did there...

Funny post kid. Don't you have a frat party to go to?

Hey, BSB, just curious. How many times are you gonna get owned on this thread before you quit and go home the way your team did in the 2nd half last night?

I own you just like UNC owned Montana back on Jan 6th. UNC 63 UM 45.

Bears fans are the most uneducated, obnoxious fans in the conference.
Montana is clearly the class of Big Sky basketball this year. Shut your mouth BSB. You bigot.
