Northern Arizona left out?

Don't feel bad for them. They were an overrated team and played the easiest schedule in the Big Sky.
They didn't deserve it.

That said, if they were a CAA team they would have gotten in for sure.
 
The committee always looks at the trends ... and theirs was in the wrong direction. I've always felt you have to take the body of work over the entire season ... noone knows if they couldn't have regrouped for the playoffs.

8-3 Richmond was left out as well. Strong field this year, except for the Patriot, NEC, and Big South autos.
 
Man I was hoping the Big Sky would have 4 teams in this year. NAU's yearly
late season meltdown came later this year but still cost them. The BS has to
be considered the most competitive conference in the FCS.
